Thought this would be a good place to provide actual plot points as to why PCs leave the group and why they are substitutes that can so easily be trusted.

Ideas for Tiny going away, basically just a suggestion. Bard still has final say to make this things what actually happened.
Tiny has been getting visions through the water crystal shard that says he is needed elsewhere. Hypnogogia directs him towards the dangerous Western continent, to spread the word of change and help his deity grow in power. Normally, any transoceanic voyage would be suicide if you are not on the equivalent of a battleship but the powers of the water crystal allow for calm seas around him. Tiny starts off on his journey to the next town with a port and rest of party says goodbye and hopes that Hypnogogia continues to bless them.
Ideas for Dragon adept/sorceror dude: He was originally part of the Ashbringers, as was Dolorito, an arcane terrorist group full of sorcerors and wizards that wanted to destroy the establishment of society. Dolo had left because all they did was rampage and destroy, but essentially things were still the same. Dragon dude may have felt the same way after some time and decided to look for Dolo, since he had already left and was making quite a name for himself. They soon met up and Dolo explained about his work for Hypnogogia and the change you can believe in that comes with their work. He may not exactly have faith but he knows a good offer when he sees one so he wants to join the group. Dolo vouches for him and with both having such high Charisma scores, rest of party trusts him.

Sounds good. Dragon dude left because there wasn't enough rampaging or destroying, feeling that the leaders were cowards who couldn't destroy the big stuff and wouldn't seek out the power needed to do so.
